Pastor Matthew Agee has served as the pastor of St. Peter since August 2019. Originally from Washington State, he attended Pacific Lutheran University where he met his wife Jennifer. After discerning a call to ministry, they moved to Iowa, where he attended Wartburg Theological Seminary. Most people back in Washington assumed he meant Idaho, since Iowa was so far away. In his spare time, he likes to read books on ancient history, collect fossils and whatever else seems interesting.

Pastor Nichole was called to St Peter in December of 2023 and hit the ground running. A graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary, Pr. Nichole and her family moved here from California. They have fallen in love with Dubuque and are glad they get to stick around! Her hobbies include ax throwing, working out, reading, puzzles and watching tv with family.  A life-long Lutheran, she knows her way around the church community and has enjoyed becoming part of the St. Peter church family!

Hi! My name is Adriano Ayres, I am originally from the most southern part of Brazil. I was raised in the evangelical Lutheran Church in Brazil. My home town is called Taquara. I have been called to ministry since I was a kid experiencing worship at my grandparents house and eventually I was asked if I was interested in joining the Lutheran seminary in Brazil. During seminary I was in a student exchange program at Wartburg Seminary. There, I met Sara's family and eventually became friends with her till today. In 2010, we got married and I started seminary in Gettysburg, finishing my Master's at the Lutheran seminary in Chicago. We currently live with our four children, Emma, who is 13, Karl 11, Olivia 9, and Ruth 7 on a farm in Platteville, WI. We raise sheep, chickens and cats there and a dog. I have been called to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in 2023 and since then I have been helping with worship services at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville. I am half way through my academic studies at Wartburg Seminary and have been blessed to be the intern Pastor here at Saint Peter Lutheran church. I am eager to learn and hear about what brings you to Saint Peter Lutheran Church and how it will shape me as a faithful servant in my present and future calls. God bless you!

Jackie Zauche is a business professional with over 40 years of experience keeping things organized and running smoothly.  With her HR training she is truly someone who has seen it all, she excels at supporting teams and handling a wide range of administrative responsibilities.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, kids, and grandsons on the family farm—where Pokémon, tractors, cars, and cows are always part of the conversation. She enjoys making jewelry, crafting and trying new things.

Kristine Fishler's talents include piano, organ, choir direction, video creation, as well as all that goes along with organizing and selecting the music for St. Peter services and special events. Kristine wants all St. Peter members to know that "there are ALWAYS openings in the Choir!"

Miriam Bjornstad is the Education Coordinator at St Peter. She helped to pioneer our Milestone Ministry, an intentional partnership between the congregation and the parents and families fulfilling their Baptismal Promises. She would love to tell you more about the Children's Ministry at St Peter!
